Earthy, handwoven, hand-dyed natural fibers of hemp, linen and cotton distinguish this collection. Harmonizing with the colors of the sky and landscape this unique collection of 19th and 20th century textiles were loomed and woven in small villages around the globe. You will discover 19th Century handwoven Japanese obis, 19th Century Sumatra gift cloths along with 19th textiles from India and Africa. Carefully selected to compliment but not overwhelm the simplistic beauty of the textiles are vegetable dyed yarns which have been used to handcraft the tassels.
