The textile is a 19th century Turkish hand-embroidery, possibly made for a bride's dowry.  Silk and metallic thread is embroidered onto a linen.  The hand-made body of the  Pink Hibiscus pillow is crafted with a cornflower blue raw silk.  Hand-made silk  tassels are sewn to the pillow's corners and delicate shell buttons are used to close the pillow's back.
