This Mid-Century Turkish textile is hand-embroidered with silk thread on natural linen.  The Suzani is frequently made by young women and preserved in their dowry until marriage.  The textile used to create our Turkish Suzani pillow is good example of traditional motifs and colors of the time.  The textile is paired with either Dupioni silk or pure linen for each of the Turkish Suzani pillows offered in the collection.  Shell buttons are used to close the pillow.
